So my boy, J. Ford, and his partners have a boutique event planning firm that has come up with an idea that has taken DC by storm... Its an event called "Recess" Recess, is an alternative to the regular club. Its a game night mixed with a party atmosphere. Recess draws people from all races and backgrounds and age groups.And they play all types of music, so NO ONE is stuck listening to one genre, or crap. They have had mothers and sons and entire families come out to recess and enjoy playing games! Its not over the top, and its not boring. PERFECT for a lounge-goer that's just looking for a change of scene Jason says its, "...Adults having fun, playing games, and being kids again!"
Lemme tell you some more details about the the Firm, Its called Host-DC and the four owners are Jayson Ford, Keith Lansdown, Rashad Wilson, and Rita Lewis!
The first recess was held on April 18th, 2009 at Continental Modern pool lounge, its a reoccurring monthly event, and I don't thin anyone should miss any of them.
I asked my boy Jason, "How did you come up with the idea?" And this was his answer.. "We were hosting parties and had heard from several people that wanted to go out but weren't interested in the club/lounge scene. We came up with the concept of recess and decided to test it out..."
Wanna know what I heard? I heard it is also THE EVENT for singles in the mid 20's to mid 30's, you can actually talk to people!
ENOUGH SMALL TALK! The next event is this weekend Saturday, February 20th, 2010 at Galaxy Recess. Enjoy an amazing view of the city while playing on the top floor of the Sheraton National Hotel. BEAT ME THERE DON'T MEET ME THERE... WTF!
